Job Purpose
The incumbent reports directly to the Manager of Operations. The Senior Executive is responsible to assist the Manager in handling, execute and monitor daily operational tasks within the Assets & Accounts unit managing the Settlement, Corporate Actions, Client Accounts, Cash withdrawal/deposit and other operations matters.
The main responsibilities of the Senior Executive will include efficiently and effectively prioritizing, monitoring, executing and attending to daily and adhoc tasks until its completion and to ensure the accuracy of each task being performed meet its expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process all operational processes for the corporate actions, client accounts (opening, updating, closing), settlement of accounts, withdrawal and deposit requests and within the timeline.
- Understand of market practices for both Bursa and Foreign markets.
- Ensure timely and accurate settlement of equity trades by coordinating with custodians.
- Verify trade details to prevent discrepancies. Process confirmations and manage trade matching and settlement processes to minimize failed trades.
- Ensure the daily tasks are attended timely and escalate any issues timely to the Manager.
- Follow up with incomplete requests on client accounts and client’s subscription details and its accuracy for any type of corporate actions are performed and forwarded to the supervisor for further action.
- Ensure and monitor each type of corporate actions and client accounts are being closely tracked to its completion.
- Ensure that the funds received from customers are sighted and processed and withdrawal requests are also timely processed.
- Perform daily reconciliation of settlement for corporate actions.
- Provide on the job training and guidance to junior(s) in respect of related job functions.
- Suggest new system enhancement/ Kaizen idea(s) to the Manager to improve the operational process flow and ensure implementations, if any.
- To perform any tasks assigned by superior as at when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree holder in Accounting/ Finance/ Banking and Economics or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in stockbroking/ securities operations, investment banking & fund services operation.

- Good communication skills and attention to details.
- Ability to conduct simulation & troubleshoot on reported cases.
- Meticulous with a keen eye for details and very hands-on.
- Good skills with MS Office & Excel.
- Ability to handle query and issue in timely manner.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts.
